What is the difference between suede and silk business cards?
Both are 16pt cards with a soft laminate. Suede uses a velvet laminate with a slightly fuzzy, fabric-like feel and no shine; silk is smoother and silkier with a faint sheen. Suede costs a little more.
Are velvet and suede business cards the same?
Yes. Print shops sell the same velvet soft-touch laminate as suede, velvet or soft touch business cards. Ours is laminated on both sides of a 16pt card.
Can I add spot UV to suede business cards?
Yes, from 500 cards: on the front, on both sides, or on the back with a full UV gloss on the front, all at one price. Send a mask with the gloss areas in solid black, or our designer makes one for free and shows it in your proof.
Can I write on suede business cards?
Not easily. Ballpoint pens skip on the laminate. If you need to write on your cards, choose uncoated or kraft.
