Is raised foil the same as foil stamping?
They look alike but are made differently. Traditional foil stamping presses flat foil into the paper with a metal die. Raised foil is laid over a raised layer, so it stands up from the card and you can feel it. Many people searching for foil stamped or embossed foil cards actually want this.
Which foil colors can I choose?
Gold or silver, and both cost the same. Gold reads warm and classic next to black, navy and cream. Silver looks cooler and more modern next to gray, white and deep blue.
How do I mark the foil in my file?
Send your design plus a separate file or layer with the foil areas in solid black, at the same size. Very thin lines and tiny text do not lift cleanly, so keep foil details bold. We check every file by hand and will tell you if anything needs adjusting.
Does the foil scratch or flake?
