Are kraft and brown paper business cards the same thing?
Yes. Kraft is the paper trade's name for the strong brown paper used in grocery bags and shipping boxes. Brown paper, cardboard and natural business cards all describe the same look. Ours is 18pt kraft card stock, not corrugated cardboard.
Can you print white on kraft cards?
Not on this card. We print full color without white ink, so anything white in your file shows as the brown paper. Pale grays, pastels and yellows fade into the brown as well. Design in deeper colors, and we will point out anything likely to disappear when we check your file.
Why do colors look warmer on kraft?
Printing ink is slightly see-through, so the brown tints every color laid over it. Reds lean toward brick, blues get deeper and photos look warm and muted. That character is the reason most people choose kraft.
Can I write or stamp on kraft cards?
Yes. The uncoated surface takes pencil, ballpoint and rubber stamps well, which is why kraft is popular for loyalty punch cards and hand-numbered tags. Felt-tip markers can feather slightly into the fibers.
